What we've been doing

Taking the industry's case to the heart of government

From Parliament Square to Downing Street, we have been making sure the people who make decisions hear directly from the professionals who live with them.

Parliament Square & Downing Street

Delivering One Voice to the Chancellor

Salon owners, stylists, barbers and their families gathered in Parliament Square and walked to Downing Street to hand in our open letter to the Chancellor of the Exchequer ahead of the UK Budget.

The message on the banner was simple: over 2,000 voices, one demand. Fair VAT for hair, beauty and barbering.

Putting Professionals First

What we stand for

Every campaign we run comes back to one principle: the skilled professionals who run and work in our salons deserve a fair hearing and a fair deal.

01

Fair VAT

A VAT system that stops penalising labour-intensive service businesses for growing and employing people.

02

Mandatory registration

Working with the Hair Council so every client can trust that their stylist or barber is qualified and accountable.

03

Jobs & apprenticeships

Reversing the decline in employment and apprenticeships so the next generation can build a career in our industry.

04

Evidence first

Independent research and real data from real salons, so policy is built on fact rather than assumption.
